KIDS HELPING KIDS

Small Acts of Kindness Can Create a Big Impact.

Children do not have to wait until they grow up to make a difference. Compassion, generosity and service can begin at any age.

Children helping pack donations for families

At Victory Lap Ministries, one of the ideas at the heart of everything we do is simple: Kids Helping Kids. Children have an incredible ability to care about other people, and when they are given opportunities to turn that compassion into action, even a small act of kindness can have a meaningful impact.

Helping another child does not always require a large donation or a major event. It can begin with filling a backpack with school supplies, packing a care package, helping organize clothing, collecting toys or volunteering alongside family and community members.

When children participate in giving, they learn that their time, ideas and kindness have value.

Why Kids Helping Kids Matters

Service gives young people an opportunity to see that they can play an important role in their communities. A child helping prepare supplies for another child may begin to understand generosity in a way that cannot always be taught in a classroom.

They can see that another child's circumstances may be different from their own while also recognizing how much they have in common. Every child deserves encouragement, dignity, opportunity and moments of happiness.

❤️ Compassion

Children learn to recognize the needs and feelings of others.

🤝 Service

Young people discover that their time and effort can help someone else.

🎒 Action

Giving becomes something children can actively participate in, not simply something they hear about.

🌟 Leadership

Helping others can encourage confidence, responsibility and community leadership.

Kindness Can Start Small

A child may not be able to solve every problem facing another family, but that does not mean their contribution is insignificant.

One donated backpack can help a student begin school with the supplies they need. A toy can bring happiness during a difficult hospital stay. A warm piece of clothing can meet an immediate need. A care package can remind a child that people in their community are thinking about them.

Those individual moments matter.

Creating a Culture of Giving

Victory Lap Ministries wants children to experience service as something they can participate in throughout their lives. Families, schools, businesses, churches, sports organizations and community groups can all help create opportunities for young people to serve.

Whether children are collecting supplies, packing donations, participating in an outreach event or helping develop a fundraising idea, they are learning that giving is not limited to adults.

They are learning that they can be part of the solution.

Every Child Deserves a Victory Lap

The needs facing children and families are different in every community. Some may need school supplies or clothing. Others may need food, holiday gifts, emergency assistance or simply a moment of encouragement during a difficult time.

Victory Lap Ministries brings children, families, volunteers, businesses and communities together to help meet those needs when possible.

And sometimes the person helping another child is a child too.
